What is VICTOR?

VICTOR is the Alaska unemployment automated phone system. Unemployed workers can have their benefits sent straight to their checking or savings account by using VICTOR.

To set up direct deposit, call the VICTOR number for your area. Use a personal PIN, then select option 5 from the menu. VICTOR will guide you through entering your 9-digit routing number and account number, which can be found on a personal check. Choose if you want the money to go into your checking or savings account.

For security reasons, the first time you use the system, you’ll need to verify your banking information through a test transaction. Once everything is verified, usually within two weeks, you can receive your benefits within 24 hours after filing your biweekly claim. Direct deposit is usually faster and more secure than getting your benefits through the mail.

Please note: If you disconnect before VICTOR confirms acceptance of your claim, your responses will go unrecorded and your claim will not receive processing.

Creating your PIN

Your personal identification number (PIN) keeps your identity secure. You’ll be prompted to create your PIN when you first call VICTOR. Choose a four-digit number that you haven’t used before. Your PIN stays the same until you decide to change it. If you don’t know your PIN, reach out to the UI claim center for help. You can change your PIN by following the menu options after calling VICTOR.
