What Information Will I Need When I Call?
If you’re filing an initial claim for unemployment benefits, you’ll want to be sure you have:
- Driver’s license number
- Social Security Number
- 4 digit PIN
- Your most recent employer’s contact information (name, address, phone number)
- The date you stopped working
- Any companies you worked for outside of Wyoming in the past 18 months
If you’re following up on an unemployment claim, you’ll want to have the information above, as well as the four-digit PIN you created when filing your initial UI benefits claim.
How Do I Create/Change My PIN?
There are two ways to create a PIN. You can make one yourself by going to the WYUI website. Or, the agency can create one for you. If the agency creates one for you, and you wish to change it, you will need to call (307) 473-3789 and follow the interactive voice response.
If you forget or need to reset your pin, you will need to email [email protected].
When requesting a PIN reset, you will need to provide:
- Your name
- The last four digits of your Social Security Number
- Your phone number
You will later receive a call from someone at the Unemployment Insurance office to reset the PIN. Do not share your PIN with anyone to avoid Wyoming unemployment fraud and identity theft.
