Workforce West Virginia only has one main phone number to help with UI claims: 800-252-JOBS (5627). The support line is available on weekdays (Mon-Fri).
Previously, you could apply for WV unemployment by phone and file weekly claims over the phone, but Workforce WV has since removed those phone numbers.

Information to have on hand before you call
Your address: Please provide your home address and your mailing address, if they are different, to ensure all correspondence reaches you promptly and accurately.
Your telephone number and email address: Your telephone number and a valid email address are necessary for communications regarding your claim. It’s important to stay updated on the progress and any potential issues that may arise.
Your bank information: For direct deposit of your benefits, your bank’s name, account number, and routing number are required. Make sure this information is accurate to avoid any payment delays.
For federal workers: If you have worked for the federal government within the past 18 months, have your Standard Form 8 or Standard Form 50 on hand in case there are any questions about your previous employment.
For military Veterans: If you were on active duty in the U.S. military during the past 18 months, you may need your DD Form 214 on hand if there are any questions.
For non-U.S. citizens: If you are not a United States citizen, you will need to provide your Alien Registration number to verify your immigration status.
